#ChronicIllnessProbs

Having a chronic illness sucks. Having people constantly not understand you sucks, or those that think that they’re helping you by giving you a list as long as your arm with information that won’t ever help *sigh*.

This weeks been a toughy for me, I’ve been constantly sleeping and got out once just too be in even more pain the day later.

If I’m honest, I’ve been really depressed. So I thought of a blog post that will get all my inner feels out, and bring some humour to the Spoonie community. Here are our #ChronicIllnessProbs 😉

1) Constantly being told you should eat healthier. But …. Energy.
2) You know this problem all too well….

3) Anytime you wake up feeling ‘alright’ for once…
4)  Coming home from the doctors each time like…

5)  Being invited out anywhere…

And we have no energy fo’ pants.

6) Anytime you get told your bloods/urine/test results has come back irregular and you need too see yet another consultant…

7) Remembering your teenage years like…

Well, that’s the case for me anyhow. ITS NOT JUST ANXIETY GOD DAMN IT!

8) Most days be like…

Sleep, more sleep, OUCH I CANT WALK, pain killers, some food, Netflix, annoy the dog for a little while… And repeat.

9) Not knowing whether your symptoms are due to the large amount of tablets you have to take or due to your actual illness….
10) When you FINALLY get to shower after 2 weeks…

11) Then when you do you spend the whole time wishing you could just SIT DOWN. Maybe sleep too. Urghhh why is washing my hair so exhausting??!!
12) THIS question…

Errrrrrrr…..

13) Anytime anyone has the nerve to question your illness/symptoms…

Trust me.

14) The thought of being able too have this is more than your mind can take….

I NEED FLUIDS RIGHT NOW.

15) When a friend/relative tries to tell you your just ‘making yourself worse’ and it’s ‘in your head’…

16) and then you get this sarcastic comment….

17)  it’s ok though! With your severe brain fog, you’ll forget it in a few minutes…

18) And only you could do Yoga and dislocate your thumb/hip/elbow/shoulder/possibly brain…

19)  Your plans will always be much more exciting than those of your peers…

20)  Who wants to go to concerts and clubs anyway? WHERE WOULD YOU SIT?!

21) And when you do go somewhere like that when you have the energy, you’ll be like this for days after…

22) At least you know it’s not ‘just’ anxiety anymore though…

23) And you hear this word come out of people’s mouths too much when discussing treatment options…

*rolls eyes*

24)  But you’re a fighter, because every single day we have too cope with feeling like Jack when he fell through ice…

25)  and although it breaks your heart everytime someone says this…

26) You’re a spoonie and proud.
